On these pages results of simultaneous fluid / structure calculations on coupled problems are presented.
Although the governing equations and computational methods for either the solid or the fluid domain are sophisticated
and well developed, treatment of the physics of the coupled or whole system together with the moving boundaries
remains a demanding problem.
In UNSI a flexible membrane airfoil (sail) was chosen as a testcase [1].
